Have you ever wanted to know the serial number on your favorite guitar? if so, you're in luck. When Parker Guitars first came out in 1978, they started using a serial number system that depends on which model of guitar it is. Once you know what type of model your guitar is, finding its specific serial number won't be an issue any more. All the different serial number formats and their meaning is listed below, but it's still a little confusing, so we'll start out with an example. Let's say you own a Parker 98. As we talked about earlier, it's an Acoustic-Electric Guitar and has a serial number starting with "59". The way the serial numbers are ordered is "in order of production". So if you looked through all the guitars in your collection, this would be in the last position in the list. It doesn't matter where your guitar falls in here because it will still be assigned this same serial number in all its different versions. Here are all the different versions that were produced of each model or type that fall into this category. The serial numbers are in this format. If the serial number starts with "5", "9", or "1", it's referring to the first 5-thousand serial number made that year. If the serial number starts with "6", "8", or "2" it's referring to the first 6-thousand serial numbers made that year. For everything else, see below. Below are all the different variations of each model for each specific type. All of these changes were done at different times, so there are a lot more models than just the models above. The serial numbers are in this format. The first 3 digits refer to the year. The next two numbers refer to the month, and the last two numbers refer to the day. So if you ever see a serial number that starts with these 3 digits, chances are it was made on this day in that year. Below are all the different variations of each model for each specific type.
